Overview
My research focuses on quality of care and outcomes in treatment of chronic endocrine diseases. Our group utilizes advanced Medical Informatics technologies, including Natural Language Processing, to analyze electronic medical record data of thousands of patients to determine how we can improve care of patients with diabetes, hypertension and hyperlipidemia.

Main directions of our research include:
a) optimal targets and strategies in treatment of diabetes and hypertension
b) adverse reactions to medications in chronic disease
c) lifestyle counseling in chronic illness in real-life medical practice
d) relationship of electronic documentation to patient outcomes

Mentoring
Optimal systolic blood pressure target, time-to-intensification and time-to-follow-up in the treatment of hypertension
Full Time/Year Long, 09/24/12 - 09/23/13

PMC Citations indicate the number of times the publication was cited by articles in PubMed Central, and the Altmetric score represents citations in news articles and social media. (Note that publications are often cited in additional ways that are not shown here.) Fields are based on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classifies the publication's journal and might not represent the specific topic of the publication. Translation tags are based on the publication type and the MeSH terms NLM assigns to the publication. Some publications (especially newer ones and publications not in PubMed) might not yet be assigned Field or Translation tags.) Click a Field or Translation tag to filter the publications.
