Overview
Dr. Verly completed his postdoctoral fellowship in Medical AI at Harvard Medical School in January 2025.
Currently works as is a Machine Learning Scientist at the Medical AI & Cognitive Engineering Lab (MAICE) at Mass General Brigham, where he develops advanced AI models to analyze physiological signals and large-scale EHR databases for clinical performance prediction and early patient deterioration detection.
Dr. Verly earned his PhD in Space Geophysics from the National Institute for Space Research in Brazil. His extensive AI expertise spans multiple domains including computer vision for remote sensing, natural language processing for clinical text, deep learning for signal processing, and reinforcement learning for adaptive systems.
As an accomplished software developer, Dr. Verly has created numerous AI-powered applications addressing complex challenges in automation, predictive analytics, intelligent sensor integration, and cognitive computing.
