The Up-LIFT study of non-Invasive ARC therapy for SCI
Role Description: The Up-LIFT study is a prospective, single-arm study designed to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of non-invasive electrical spinal cord stimulation (ARC Therapy) administered by the LIFT System to treat upper extremity functional deficits in people with chronic tetraplegia.
    Role: Site Principal Investigator

Daily acute intermittent hypoxia to enhance walking recovery in persons with subacute SCI
Role Description: This proposal will investigate the efficacy and safety of dAIH to enhance walking recovery in persons with subacute, incomplete SCI. We hypothesize that dAIH alone or with walking practice will improve walking recovery in ambulatory and non-ambulatory persons with subacute SCI without eliciting maladaptive changes. To test this hypothesis, we propose a double-blind, placebo-controlled, block-randomized clinical trial.
    Role: Principal Investigator

    Wings for Life Foundation
Repetitive Exposure of intermittent hypoxia to enhance walking recovery in persons with chronic spinal cord injury
Role Description: The ultimate goal of this research is to assess the potential of repetitive intermittent hypoxia as a therapeutic approach to stimulate recovery of walking function in persons with chronic spinal cord injury.
    Role: Principal Investigator
  4. R01HD081274 (TRUMBOWER, RANDY) Sep 10, 2014 - Feb 28, 2021

Mechanisms of intermittent hypoxia-induced motor recovery in persons with SCI
    Role: Principal Investigator

PMC Citations indicate the number of times the publication was cited by articles in PubMed Central, and the Altmetric score represents citations in news articles and social media. (Note that publications are often cited in additional ways that are not shown here.) Fields are based on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classifies the publication's journal and might not represent the specific topic of the publication. Translation tags are based on the publication type and the MeSH terms NLM assigns to the publication. Some publications (especially newer ones and publications not in PubMed) might not yet be assigned Field or Translation tags.) Click a Field or Translation tag to filter the publications.
