Overview
I am a Physician in the Sarcoma Center of the Department of Medical Oncology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI), an Associate Physician at Brigham & Women’s Hospital (BWH), and an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School (HMS).

I am a board-certified medical oncologist with expertise in the treatment of bone and soft tissue sarcomas, a rare disease comprising <1% of all cancers. I work closely with specialized surgeons and radiation oncologists to provide holistic, multidisciplinary care to hundreds of adult and adolescent/young adult (AYA) patients from across the world. I am a sub-investigator on all active sarcoma clinical trials at Dana-Farber, which allows me to directly enroll and care for my patients on study and provide regular clinical and operational guidance to our current and future research efforts. Nationally, I serve as a member of the National Cancer Institute (NCI) PDQ Adult Treatment Editorial Board, in which I provide editorial guidance to sections relevant to sarcoma management.

I am also board-certified in internal medicine and pediatrics with clinical expertise in supporting the unique physical, emotional, and socioeconomic needs of adolescents and young adults (AYA) facing cancer. I hold leadership positions in national and regional organizations focused on optimizing care, research, and advocacy of AYAs facing cancer. I serve on the Board of Directors of the Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Coalition (AYACC), the AYA Working Group of the Alliance for Clincial Trials in Oncology (Alliance), and the Steering Committee for the AYA Cancer Northeast Regional Network. Locally, I am involved in AYA efforts across DFCI, such as the Young Adult Program (YAP), the Center for AYA Oncology (CAYAO), and the AYA Sarcoma Program.

I am an Affiliated Faculty in the Division of Population Sciences, McGraw-Patterson Center for Population Sciences. My research interests include leveraging technology to optimize patient engagement in cancer research, and enhancing cancer care delivery to reduce financial burden and promote socioeconomic well-being. I am conducting patient engagement research as part of the Leiomyosarcoma (LMS) and Osteosarcoma (OS) Projects, both supported by the Cancer Moonshot.

Finally, I am a published author and essayist with passion for creative and reflective writing in medicine. I have previously developed institutional narrative medicine programs with Suzanne Koven, MGH's writer-in-residence, and I plan to continue these efforts with both cancer providers and patients.

PMC Citations indicate the number of times the publication was cited by articles in PubMed Central, and the Altmetric score represents citations in news articles and social media. (Note that publications are often cited in additional ways that are not shown here.) Fields are based on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classifies the publication's journal and might not represent the specific topic of the publication. Translation tags are based on the publication type and the MeSH terms NLM assigns to the publication. Some publications (especially newer ones and publications not in PubMed) might not yet be assigned Field or Translation tags.) Click a Field or Translation tag to filter the publications.
