Overview
Maria Nardell, MD, MPH is an Instructor at Harvard Medical School, an Associate Scientist in the Division of Global Health Equity at Brigham and Women's Hospital, and a hospitalist in the Division of General Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. She is passionate about advocating for disadvantaged communities across the world, and her background in global health spans projects from South Africa to Rwanda to Kenya. Her current research explores factors influencing HIV care engagement among vulnerable populations in South Africa, including migrants and other mobile populations. Dr. Nardell also has a longstanding background in education, and she enjoys teaching and mentoring students and trainees in topics including qualitative research and storytelling in medicine.
