Islet Amyloid Polypeptide

A pancreatic beta-cell hormone that is co-secreted with INSULIN. Islet amyloid polypeptide can fold into AMYLOID FIBRILS that have been found as a major constituent of pancreatic AMYLOID DEPOSITS.
