overview Graduation in Biophysics by Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Brazil in 2010. Msc in Biomedical Chemistry (2013) and PhD in 2017 by UFRJ. In addition, Postdoc Researcher at UFRJ for 18 months (2017-2019). Currently, I am a Research Fellow at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School. I have an experience in neurobiology celular and biochemistry, with emphasis in immune system, neuroinflammation, mitochondrial dysfunction in Alzheimer's Disease. Further, I had been working in the neuroprotective effects of Liraglutide, an antidiabetic agent, in Alzheimer's Disease models. Now, during my stay at Harvard Medical School, I am investigating the role of complement system and synaptic plasticity in Alzheimer's Disease models.
