Overview
Sotiris Vandoros is Professor of Health Economics at University College London, and Director of the Executive MBA Health programme. He is also Adjunct Associate Professor at Harvard University. Before joining UCL, he was Associate Dean for Doctoral Studies and Associate Professor at King's College London. He holds a PhD from the LSE.

His research focuses primarily on the socioeconomic determinants of health; on policies affecting health-related behaviours; on car accidents; and on regulation and competition in pharmaceutical markets.

Prof Vandoros’ research is interdisciplinary and as such it has been published in leading journals in various fields, including the Review of Economics & Statistics; the American Journal of Epidemiology; the European Journal of Epidemiology; Health Affairs; the American Journal of Public Health; Experimental Economics; Health Economics; Risk Analysis; Journal of the Royal Statistical Society; Social Science & Medicine etc.

His findings are often cited in the Media globally, including CNN, The Economist, the Financial Times, The Times and many more.

He is currently co-Editor of Globalization & Health and serves on the Editorial Board of Health Policy.

Prof Vandoros has carried out research for national and international organisations and governments such as the World Health Organization, the NHS, the European Commission and the European Parliament.

He teaches at UCL and Harvard, and has previously taught at LSE, King’s College London, Brunel, Sorbonne-Cité and the Tata Institute of Social Sciences.
