Overview
Ryan Jane Jacoby, Ph.D. is a staff psychologist the OCD and Related Disorders Program at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and an Instructor in Psychology (Psychiatry) at Harvard Medical School (HMS). Dr. Jacoby completed her undergraduate studies at Williams College and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She completed her clinical internship and post-doctoral training at MGH/HMS. Dr. Jacoby is a licensed clinical psychologist who sees patients through the MGH OCD and Related Disorders Program. Her clinical and research interests are broadly focused on the nature and treatment of OCD and anxiety disorders, including specific interests in psychological mechanisms of change in exposure-based therapy for OCD and anxiety-related problems (e.g., inhibitory learning approaches to exposure) as well as treatment augmentation strategies that capitalize on these mechanisms of action. She is also interested in transdiagnostic psychological processes (e.g., intolerance of uncertainty) as well as improving behavioral and psychophysiological measurement of these processes and therapy outcomes. Dr. Jacoby is currently funded by the Charles King Trust Post-Doctoral Fellowship and the International OCD Foundation Young Investigator Research Award, with supplemental internal funding from the Harvard University Mind Brain Behavior Initiative, Livingston Fellowship Award, and Foundations of Human Behavior Grant. She was a 2018 recipient of the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA) Alies Muskin Career Development Leadership Program Award.

(Note that publications are often cited in additional ways that are not shown here.) Fields are based on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classifies the publication's journal and might not represent the specific topic of the publication. Translation tags are based on the publication type and the MeSH terms NLM assigns to the publication. Some publications (especially newer ones and publications not in PubMed) might not yet be assigned Field or Translation tags.) Click a Field or Translation tag to filter the publications.
