U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity
Stable mixed chimerism and tolerance of vascularized composite allografts via Bcl-2 inhibition
Role Description: The main objective of this research proposal is to establish the successful nontoxic regimen with Bcl-2 inhibition from Kawai group in kidney allograft to induce persistent mixed chimerism in MHC fully mismatched cynomolgus monkey BMT in VCA.
    Role: Partnering PI
  2. 1R01EB028782-01A1 (Parekkadan) Sep 1, 2021 - Sep 1, 2025
National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering
ADVANCE Genetic-engineered control of the immunogeneic state of vascular composite allografts during preservation
Role Description: The objective of this program is to engineer a library of inflammation biosensor constructs into MSCs and sensitively track the viability and theranostic performance of these cells during clinically relevant VCA transplant settings in rat models. Our long-term goal is to use cell biosensors as a broad way to mitigate the rejection episodes.
    Role: co-investigator

PMC Citations indicate the number of times the publication was cited by articles in PubMed Central, and the Altmetric score represents citations in news articles and social media. (Note that publications are often cited in additional ways that are not shown here.) Fields are based on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classifies the publication's journal and might not represent the specific topic of the publication. Translation tags are based on the publication type and the MeSH terms NLM assigns to the publication. Some publications (especially newer ones and publications not in PubMed) might not yet be assigned Field or Translation tags.) Click a Field or Translation tag to filter the publications.
