Overview
I have graduated and post-graduated in Zoology (Animal sciences) from the University of Calcutta. My inquisitiveness for immunological research developed during my Master’s dissertation project. This training evoked my passion and love for the subject and for research. With the advent of my research career as a doctoral student, I started working on MDSCs. MDSCs have been a fascinating topic for me and the more I studied about it, the more I was astounded by its plausible roles in disease and infection biology. A milestone in my research career was delineating the role of MDSCs in malaria disease progression. Besides research, I have been actively involved in training the interns who joined our research team. I have enjoyed this association and the mutual sharing of ideas with young minds. I have always taken active participation in all the academic and cultural events organized in our department which has eventually instilled organizational and leadership skills in me. I am currently pursuing post-doctoral research in the intriguing field of inflammation biology and its associated Th-2 dominated immune responses.

PMC Citations indicate the number of times the publication was cited by articles in PubMed Central, and the Altmetric score represents citations in news articles and social media. (Note that publications are often cited in additional ways that are not shown here.) Fields are based on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classifies the publication's journal and might not represent the specific topic of the publication. Translation tags are based on the publication type and the MeSH terms NLM assigns to the publication. Some publications (especially newer ones and publications not in PubMed) might not yet be assigned Field or Translation tags.) Click a Field or Translation tag to filter the publications.
