Mengxi is passionate about investigating nutrition as a modifiable factor for promoting healthy eating and the overall well-being of cancer survivors and the general population. As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Epidemiology, she leads research that assesses the role of diet and lifestyle, gut microbiome, and metabolome in colorectal cancer development and survivorship, leveraging population-based cohort studies. Mengxi graduated from the Tufts University Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy with a PhD in Nutrition Epidemiology and Data Science. Her doctoral research was centered around translating nutrition evidence into policy interventions for cancer prevention in the United States. With a passion for making research practical and actionable, she also underwent clinically focused dietetic training at Brigham and Women's Hospital and has been a Registered Dietitian since 2018.
