Overview

Mentoring
Available: 08/13/24, Expires: 08/13/25

The Patient-Reported Outcomes, Value, and Experience (PROVE) Center is seeking medical students interested in pursuing research focused on patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) in many different aspects of clinical care, quality improvement, and value-based healthcare. We are interested in students willing and able to commit to a full year dedicated to research. The PROVE Center is internationally known for their contributions to the measurement and implementation of PROs in clinical practice, research, quality improvement initiatives, and value-based healthcare. While at the PROVE Center, medical students will have the opportunity to learn from our multidisciplinary team of clinicians, quality of life researchers, qualitative researchers, psychometricians, statisticians, and our extensive network both within and outside of Mass General Brigham, including the MGB PROMs Program. Medical students will also have the ability for mentorship from our program leaders and associated faculty based on students' prior experience and interests. In addition, students will be invited to our PROVE Center meetings, where they can learn from leaders in the field of PROs and qualitative research to enhance their medical education. Interested candidates should contact Melissa Poleo, administrative director, mpoleo@bwh.harvard.edu or 617-525-9846.

PMC Citations indicate the number of times the publication was cited by articles in PubMed Central, and the Altmetric score represents citations in news articles and social media. (Note that publications are often cited in additional ways that are not shown here.) Fields are based on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classifies the publication's journal and might not represent the specific topic of the publication. Translation tags are based on the publication type and the MeSH terms NLM assigns to the publication. Some publications (especially newer ones and publications not in PubMed) might not yet be assigned Field or Translation tags.) Click a Field or Translation tag to filter the publications.
