Overview
Dr. Anne-Julie Tessier is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Nutrition at the University of Montreal, a Researcher at the Montreal Heart Institute and a Visiting Scientist in the Department of Nutrition at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She is also a Registered Dietitian (RD). In 2017, Dr. Tessier co-founded Keenoa, an organization that creates state-of-the-art technologies involving image-based food recognition for dietary assessment in dietetics practice and research.
Her research focuses on the impact of nutrition on healthy longevity, particularly on muscle and brain health. She integrates innovative technologies such as metabolomics, proteomics, and mobile applications to better understand underlying mechanisms and identify nutritional biomarkers. Dr. Tessier is a co-investigator of the NIH-funded Multiethnic Observational Study in American Asian and Pacific Islander Communities (MOSAAIC) study.
