    Role Description: An urgent need exists to promote and retain investigators from underrepresented backgrounds in the scientific areas supported by NIDDK. This project supports a comprehensive mentoring program for underrepresented investigators already funded by NIDDK that will provide multi-level mentoring, hands-on guidance in grant and manuscript writing, and a curriculum to ensure the skills necessary for academic success.
