Dr. Regan Marsh is the Medical Director of Quality, Safety and Health Equity within the Department of Quality and Safety and Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Harvard Medical School. She works as clinical faculty in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, where she co-leads the Health Equity Committee. She is also a Senior Strategic Advisor for Partners In Health (PIH).

Dr. Marsh's priority is the provision of equitable health care through strengthened delivery systems. She has served as a leader throughout the COVID-19 response, building on her experiences with building health systems to improve healthcare equity during and following the Haitian earthquake (2010) and the West African Ebola response. As the Senior Technical Lead for PIH's US Covid response, her team focused on implementing community-based response solutions to stop transmission of disease and improve equity by supporting the most marginalized communities, working directly with over 15 cities, counties and states, as well as on policy, advocacy and knowledge dissemination.

Dr. Marsh has worked with PIH since 2008, in Malawi, Haiti, Sierra Leone, Rwanda and Liberia. In Haiti, she helped open the University Hospital at Mirebalais, and then served as Director of Emergency Medicine. There, her team started the first Emergency Medicine residency in the history of Haiti, now in its seventh year. In 2014, during the Ebola epidemic, she served as medical director for PIH-Sierra Leone, leading the transition from emergency response to health systems strengthening. She led (as PI) a 5-year HRSA-funded grant to strengthen human resources for health in Liberia, and with PIH, created hospital-based quality standards for clinical operations.

Dr. Marsh received her undergraduate degree from Princeton University and her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania's School of Medicine. She completed emergency medicine training at the Harvard-Affiliated Emergency Medicine residency at the Brigham and Women's and Massachusetts General Hospitals, and received a Master of Public Health from Harvard School of Public Health.
