A Randomized Trial Comparing Approaches to Promote Informed Decisions about Cancer Screening in Older Adults (PRIMED study)
Role Description: The purpose of this trial is to compare the effectiveness of providing clinicians with (1) a standard registry of their 76-85 year old patients’ cancer screening status and (2) the registry plus intensive training in shared decision making skills. We will examine impact on patients’ reports of shared decision making for colorectal cancer screening, the percentage of patients receiving their preferred approach to screening, screening rates, and clinician confidence in shared decision making.
    Role: Co-Investigator
  2. U01CA225451 (ATLAS, STEVEN J;HAAS, JENNIFER S ;TOSTESON, ANNA N. A.) Sep 30, 2018 - Aug 31, 2023
    NIH
Promoting follow-up of abnormal cancer screening tests using population-basedsystems to support stepped care multilevel intervention
Role Description: We propose to develop, implement, evaluate and disseminate a health information technology-enabled, multi-level, stepped care intervention grounded in primary care to improve the follow-up of abnormal breast, cervical, colorectal and lung cancer screening results
    Role: Co-Principal Investigator
  3. (Lubitz) Jul 1, 2018 - Jun 30, 2022
    American Heart Association
Precision Medicine in Ischemic Stroke and Atrial Fibrillation (PreMISe-AF)
Role Description: The major goals of this project are: 1) implement a clinical AF risk estimation tool in the EHR among acute stroke patients at Massachusetts General Hospital, 2) derive a polygenic risk score for AF and assess discrimination of cardioembolic stroke risk, and 3) pilot a polygenic risk assay for AF in stroke patients.
    Role: Co-Investigator
  4. UM1CA221940 (HAAS, JENNIFER S;HUGHES, AMY E ;KAMINENI, ARUNA ;TIRO, JASMIN ANITA) Apr 10, 2018 - Mar 31, 2024
    NIH
Multi-level Optimization of the Cervical Cancer Screening Process in Diverse Settings & Populations (METRICS)
Role Description: The goal of METRICs is to generate crucial information about the cervical screening process that will identify points and strategies for intervention to improve guideline adherence and reduce disparities. Three complementary projects will elucidate at what level disparities in screening process occur, programs and policies that influence screening adherence, and precision screening for subgroups at increased cancer risk.
    Role: Site Principal Investigator
  5. (Sepucha) Jan 15, 2018 - Jan 14, 2021
    Donaghue Foundation
Matching the right person to the right treatment: shared decision making for high cost elective procedures
Role Description: The aims of this proposal are to (1) integrate new performance measures to assess shared decision making for elective orthopaedic procedures, (2) explore how the data may be used to motivate practices to increase rates of informed, patient-centered decisions, and (3) examine the impact on high value care.
    Role: Co-Investigator

Bibliographic
Publications listed below are automatically derived from MEDLINE/PubMed and other sources, which might result in incorrect or missing publications. Faculty can login to make corrections and additions.
Newest   |   Oldest   |   Most Cited   |   Most Discussed   |   Timeline   |   Field Summary   |   Plain Text
PMC Citations indicate the number of times the publication was cited by articles in PubMed Central, and the Altmetric score represents citations in news articles and social media. (Note that publications are often cited in additional ways that are not shown here.) Fields are based on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classifies the publication's journal and might not represent the specific topic of the publication. Translation tags are based on the publication type and the MeSH terms NLM assigns to the publication. Some publications (especially newer ones and publications not in PubMed) might not yet be assigned Field or Translation tags.) Click a Field or Translation tag to filter the publications.
