Overview
Dr. Larissa Nekhlyudov is Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, a practicing internist at the Brigham and Women's Hospital and Clinical Director, Internal Medicine for Cancer Survivors at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute where she offers consultative clinical care for long-term survivors of childhood and adult cancers. Dr. Nekhlyudov is particularly interested in improving the care of cancer survivors and the interplay between primary and oncology care. She has led and participated in studies using quantitative and qualitative methods with primary and secondary data analyses funded by the National Cancer Institute, Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute, and charitable foundations. In 2017-2019, she was the inaugural NCI-AcademyHealth Visiting Scholar, and during that time, developed a framework for measuring quality of cancer survivorship care that may be used to advance the field in research, policy and clinical settings (published in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute and remains “editor-choice” open access). The Framework has since led to a variety of ongoing efforts, has been adapted by the NCI Office of Cancer Survivorship as a mechanism to drive its future research agenda and was cited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer Standard 4.8 that is required for accreditation. She has been at the forefront of the field of cancer survivorship, nationally and internationally, by leading and participating in the development of survivorship care policies and clinical guidelines, educational programs and research. Her publications (including journal articles, book chapters and two books) as well as her broad-ranging educational programs have promoted awareness among health care professionals about the ongoing needs of cancer patients across the care continuum.

PMC Citations indicate the number of times the publication was cited by articles in PubMed Central, and the Altmetric score represents citations in news articles and social media. (Note that publications are often cited in additional ways that are not shown here.) Fields are based on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classifies the publication's journal and might not represent the specific topic of the publication. Translation tags are based on the publication type and the MeSH terms NLM assigns to the publication. Some publications (especially newer ones and publications not in PubMed) might not yet be assigned Field or Translation tags.) Click a Field or Translation tag to filter the publications.
