Nephelometry and Turbidimetry

"Nephelometry and Turbidimetry" is a descriptor in the National Library of Medicine's controlled vocabulary thesaurus, MeSH (Medical Subject Headings). Descriptors are arranged in a hierarchical structure, which enables searching at various levels of specificity.

Chemical analysis based on the phenomenon whereby light, passing through a medium with dispersed particles of a different refractive index from that of the medium, is attenuated in intensity by scattering. In turbidimetry, the intensity of light transmitted through the medium, the unscattered light, is measured. In nephelometry, the intensity of the scattered light is measured, usually, but not necessarily, at right angles to the incident light beam.

This graph shows the total number of publications written about "Nephelometry and Turbidimetry" by people in Harvard Catalyst Profiles by year, and whether "Nephelometry and Turbidimetry" was a major or minor topic of these publication.
