Single-Chain Antibodies

"Single-Chain Antibodies" is a descriptor in the National Library of Medicine's controlled vocabulary thesaurus, MeSH (Medical Subject Headings). Descriptors are arranged in a hierarchical structure, which enables searching at various levels of specificity.

A form of antibodies consisting only of the variable regions of the heavy and light chains, connected by a small linker peptide. They are less immunogenic than complete immunoglobulin and thus have potential therapeutic use.
