The goal of this project is to create a culture change in the delivery of cross-cultural care within MGHfC. We will accomplish this by providing the opportunity for residents, attending physicians, and nurses to participate in a longitudinal curriculum. This curriculum will enable all providers to change their approach to cross-cultural care through reflection on their current practice and active discussion and training of new language and attitudes. To accomplish this overarching goal, we have the following specific aims: 1) Adapt, implement, and evaluate a pediatric resident cross-cultural curriculum 2) Assess efficacy of the curriculum, by developing and utilizing simulation cases to assess pediatric residents on the skills taught during the intervention 3) Modify the curriculum based on the evaluation and implement with nurses and faculty Student role(s) can be multiple; they can learn how to teach the curriculum, develop cases especially for the simulation component, learn about simulation, help write manuscripts and be co-authors
