Available: 11/14/19, Expires: 11/13/21

The Harvard-MIT Center for Regulatory Science seeks students who are passionate about conducting research that examines innovative ways to evaluate new medical products and to effectively integrate these methods into the current system of drug and medical device development. The aim of this regulatory science research is to support a more effective framework for accelerating therapeutic innovation, drug and device safety assessment, and evaluation throughout the product lifecycle.

These projects can span a range of topics that include:

  • Real world evidence generation using innovative clinical trial designs, data synthesis, EMRs, and clinical evidence
  • Evaluating regulatory policy and clinical trials that use evidence-based approaches to incentivize newer, safer drugs
  • Quantifying, characterizing, and mitigating adverse events and drug toxicities
  • Evaluating the safety and security of consumer electronics, apps, and patient-generated health care records
  • Data science and AI in evidence generation and evaluation of therapeutic development
  • Evaluating emerging therapeutics including cell and gene-based medicines
  • Effective means to implement biomarkers to maximally benefit individual patients

PMC Citations indicate the number of times the publication was cited by articles in PubMed Central, and the Altmetric score represents citations in news articles and social media. (Note that publications are often cited in additional ways that are not shown here.) Fields are based on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classifies the publication's journal and might not represent the specific topic of the publication. Translation tags are based on the publication type and the MeSH terms NLM assigns to the publication. Some publications (especially newer ones and publications not in PubMed) might not yet be assigned Field or Translation tags.) Click a Field or Translation tag to filter the publications.
