Overview
My research focuses on 1) adapting sleep health interventions to a variety of community and clinical populations 2) impact of sleep disorders consequent influence on pain and cardiometabolic health.

Using epidemiologic, clinical, qualitative, and laboratory research methods, my work investigates the use, mechanisms, and efficacy of both conventional and alternative treatments (e.g., yoga) in patients with both sleep disorders and/or chronic diseases (e.g., migraine), as well as underserved communities.

I have published on national patterns of use of pharmacologic and behavioral treatments of insomnia. I also co-lead clinical innovations aimed to improve the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders in the primary care setting, including implementing behavioral therapy for insomnia within the primary care setting.

PMC Citations indicate the number of times the publication was cited by articles in PubMed Central, and the Altmetric score represents citations in news articles and social media. (Note that publications are often cited in additional ways that are not shown here.) Fields are based on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classifies the publication's journal and might not represent the specific topic of the publication. Translation tags are based on the publication type and the MeSH terms NLM assigns to the publication. Some publications (especially newer ones and publications not in PubMed) might not yet be assigned Field or Translation tags.) Click a Field or Translation tag to filter the publications.
