The Medical Research Director of Fenway Health and Co-Director of The Fenway Institute Dr. Kenneth Mayer is looking for students interested in working with Dr. Mayer on data-related projects. Projects include evaluating differences in clinical conditions and health utilization between sexual and gender minority patients and cisgender heterosexual patients, as well as studies of the evolving natural history of HIV and/or trends in PrEP uptake, persistence, and adherence. Fenway Health provides primary care to more than 35,000 patients in the greater Boston area, and about half are sexual and gender minority people. Fenway Health also care for more than 2,000 HIV-positive people, and has initiated PrEP with more than 5,000 people, with more than 3,000 people having active PrEP prescriptions. Fenway Health has had an electronic medical record since 1999.
