Seeking nursing students, medical students, public health students, or students/trainees in related fields to assist with screening and enrolling patients in the PROPS Study (Partnerships for Reducing Overweight and Obesity with Patient-Centered Strategies) over the next 6 months. The PROPS Study, which is being conducted at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and is funded by the Patient-centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI), is comparing the effectiveness of three weight management strategies in primary care patients with hypertension or type 2 diabetes. This is a great opportunity to learn more about clinical research and to gain valuable experience. The time commitment is approximately 8-10 hours per week, but could be flexible depending on availability. Please contact the Principal Investigator, Dr. Heather Baer (hbaer@partners.org), and the Research Project Manager, Nyryan Nolido (nnolido@partners.org) if interested.
