Mentoring
Available: 08/01/19, Expires: 03/31/20

This project would involve working closely with clinical psychologist Abigail Batchelder and primary care physician Jennifer Potter to develop, implement, and analyze the results of a web-based survey. The survey would focus on constructs related to sexual minority women’s health, body size, and identity, as well as psychological assessments of self-acceptance, pride, and body-positivity. Through regular meetings, the student would be supported to conduct a literature review, carefully select questionnaires to be used in the survey, program the survey in an online portal, collect data, and analyze the results. Drs. Batchelder and Potter would work with the student to produce both a published abstract and manuscript based on the results. This work will be used to inform a body positivity intervention for sexual minority women.

PMC Citations indicate the number of times the publication was cited by articles in PubMed Central, and the Altmetric score represents citations in news articles and social media. (Note that publications are often cited in additional ways that are not shown here.) Fields are based on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classifies the publication's journal and might not represent the specific topic of the publication. Translation tags are based on the publication type and the MeSH terms NLM assigns to the publication. Some publications (especially newer ones and publications not in PubMed) might not yet be assigned Field or Translation tags.) Click a Field or Translation tag to filter the publications.
