Dr. Roberts' work focuses on the intersection of pulmonary medicine and medical education. Dr. Roberts is a Harvard Macy Scholar (2008) and a graduate of the Rabkin Felloship in Medical Education at BIDMC. Dr. Roberts' clinical work focuses on caring for patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension and unexplained dyspnea.
Dr. Roberts teaches across the spectrum of HMS courses including first year human physiology, second year respiratory pathophysiology and Dr. Roberts is the Director of the BIDMC PCE for third year students.
Dr. Roberts is the Associate Director of the Carl J. Shapiro Institute for Education and Research at BIDMC, Director of the BIDMC Academy for Medical Educators, and Associate Director of the Academy at HMS.
Dr. Roberts' interests in medical education include faculty development, curriculum development, measurement and enhancement of curiosity and critical thinking skills, and the use of technology in medical education.
