Photoreceptor cell loss is the ultimate cause of vision loss for millions of people with AMD and other retinal degenerations. WE have uncovered why previous attempts for neuroprotection have failed and we are utilizing this information in regenerative approaches and photoreceptor transplantation.

The amount of responsibility will depend on prior experience and time commitment. At the end of the rotation the student will present his/her work. The start and end times are flexible, however at least a month is recommended.
