The ability to defend against pathogenic bacterial infection is critical for our health. This project will use genetically modified mouse models to investigate how Nur77 participates in this defensive process. Several approaches including mouse models and cell culture will be used in this project. A student will be expected to participate in every part of this project and will have great opportunity to get training in molecular biology, cell biology and animal pathophysiology.
