Our laboratory's focus is to delineate the role of microRNAs in angiogenesis specifically in insulin resistance, obesity and diabetic wound healing. We have screened, identified and functionally validated novel microRNAs from the brown adipose endothelium of obese mice.

We are seeking motivated individuals who will help examine the function and mechanism of one of these microRNAs in diabetic wound healing and in endothelial cell angiogenic assays in culture.
