Overview
I am a Pediatric Consultant with a specialization in intensive care, and I have a keen interest in mechanical ventilation, hemodynamics, and extrarenal depuration techniques. My training includes a fellowship at H.U. Cruces, as well as practical experience in the PICU of H.U. 12 de Octubre and the pediatric transport service of H.U. Valle D'Hebron. Following my fellowship, I spent a year doing shifts in the PICU of Cruces H.U., and six months working full-time in the PICU of H.U. Virgen del Rocio.
During my clinical fellowship, I taught myself programming languages like Java and C# and developed various apps to improve my clinical practice. My interest in e-health led me to pursue a Master's in Biomedical Engineering at the Pais Vasco University. For my final project, I developed a VR demo for CPR training using Unity. Additionally, I completed a University Expert course in Statistics applied to Health Sciences. Currently, I am pursuing a Master's in Data Science at the UOC while also working on myPhD.
For over a year, I worked part-time at Vicomtech's e-health department, where I provided clinical insight into projects and collaborated on the technical side, expanding my coding skills in R and Python.
Since April 2022, I have been working as a research Fellow at the Applied Chest Imaging Lab, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School. I have a strong passion for learning and a critical mindset. I have always been fascinated by physics and mathematics, but my interest in science extends to all techniques that enhance clinical approaches through informatics. I look forward to advancing my knowledge and continuing to learn in this field.
