Overview
Dr. John "Nick" Shumate is a resident physician in the Harvard Psychiatry Training Program at Boston's Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He sees a diverse population of patients with a wide range of acute and chronic mental illness. He received his medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He is also a licensed (inactive) attorney with experience in high-stakes corporate law as well as in judicial education. He received his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School where he served on the Michigan Law Review as an editor. Nick has also served on multiple other editorial boards both scholarly and creative.
