Overview
I was trained as a mathematician. I have a deep interest in biomedical research. In my early years I have collaborated with heart surgeons to model 3-D motion of human heart valve (Ph.D. thesis) and with facial surgeons to quantify facial asymmetries. After this I indulged into epigenomics, transcriptomics and genomics. I have developed novel method to study DNA methylation patterns, studied circRNA concerning neurodegeneration in postmortem brain tissues and presently I am developing ancestry informed neurogenetic models to predict transcriptomic profiles while examining and mitigating the impacts of ancestry biased data.
