Dr. Beatrice Wamuti is passionate about healthcare systems strengthening within low and middle-income countries and her research interests are in evidence-based clinical research, implementation science, and health systems strengthening.

Over the past decade, Dr. Wamuti has worked in HIV prevention, particularly HIV partner services (aPS) to improve case finding, diagnosis, and initiation of antiretroviral therapy among sexual partners to newly diagnosed HIV positive individuals in sub-Saharan African countries. She has served as a senior technical advisor for the aPS scale-up project - collaborative study between the University of Washington, PATH Kenya and the Ministry of Health (MOH). In this project evaluating the national rollout of aPS within the national HIV testing services program in Kenya, she was part of MOH's National AIDS and STI Control Program (NASCOP) technical working group on HIV testing services. She also serves as a visiting research scientist at the Kenyatta National Hospital.

Dr. Wamuti is a Takemi postdoctoral fellow at the Harvard School of Public Health and has a PhD in Global Health - Implementation Science from the University of Washington (UW). She is a registered medical doctor (University of Nairobi) with an MBA (Strathmore University) and MPH (UW).

PMC Citations indicate the number of times the publication was cited by articles in PubMed Central, and the Altmetric score represents citations in news articles and social media. (Note that publications are often cited in additional ways that are not shown here.) Fields are based on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classifies the publication's journal and might not represent the specific topic of the publication. Translation tags are based on the publication type and the MeSH terms NLM assigns to the publication. Some publications (especially newer ones and publications not in PubMed) might not yet be assigned Field or Translation tags.) Click a Field or Translation tag to filter the publications.
