overview
I am a biologist by training with strong expertise in bioinformatics and microbiology, next-generation sequencing, and machine learning. With my long-term research goal to bridge human microbiome and human diseases, the primary goal of my research has been to methodology development involving whole metagenome sequencing, deep learning, and statistical methods to address fundamental problems pertinent to the host-microbiome interactions, especially the diagnosis and prediction of human diseases.
