For my post-doctoral research I am combining my specific interest in laser tissue interaction and my expertise in diagnostic imaging on innovating and advancing laser and energy-based treatment devices as well as diagnostic technologies to better understand fundamentals of laser tissue interactions and metabolism. My work is dedicated to basic and translational research related to novel dermatological diagnostic methods and treatment devices for skin aging, fat metabolism, and drug delivery. Special focus lies on optical coherence tomography angiography to detect changes of dermal microvasculature with respect to age and new ways and medical treatment devices on how to reverse these aging related changes.
