Chemist and pharmacist with broad interest in organic and theoretical chemistry, drug discovery and design, biomedical sciences and oncology. Over ten-years of hands-on experience in synthetic and computational chemistry, in vitro assays related to drug development, drug delivery and nanotechnologies. Involved in project management and mentoring and in depth experience in collaborative and multi-disciplinary projects, with a proven track record of publications in all these fields, in collaboration with research groups from all around Europe, Canada and the US. Developed in the recent years as a translational scientist, allowing the use of complementary multi-disciplinary skills toward the advancement of fundamental projects as well as in applications such as drug discovery, as evidenced by numerous publications aimed at developing novel anticancer medicines and other agents including peroxidase inhibitors and anti-tuberculosis compounds.
