The EPICenter is dedicated to understanding, identifying and treating children and adolescents with psychotic disorders. Our initial aims include:
- phenotyping 45 children/adolescents with psychosis and their family members (n=360) using standardized diagnostic interviews, cognitive tasks and symptom/behavioral measures at intake and at 6-month intervals;
- conduct initial phenotypic and genetic analyses with existing exome or whole genome sequence data;
- create a clinical/genetics database. Students would be involved in recruiting, assessing, and diagnosing pro bands with psychosis and their family members.
In addition, students will be involved in data analysis and generation of presentations and manuscripts for peer review.
