Overview
Dr. Emily LaRose is a nutrition and global health consultant and a registered dietitian whose over 20-year career has spanned nutrition, public health, health misinformation, and academia.

Since 2019, she has worked with the World Bank, Operation Smile, Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition, Medecins Sans Frontieres, Meedan, and others. In her work, she specializes in applied and translational research in the global health setting, including program strategy and design, implementation, and knowledge management. Recently, she has conducted analytical research on health misinformation, learning poverty, human capital, and innovative food system programs; developed tools and protocols for nutrition care, capacity strengthening, and social behavior change communications; and designed programs to prevent and treat infant and child malnutrition. She particularly enjoys asking questions, defining processes, and developing practical approaches to address public health challenges.

She is currently an instructor in the MPH-GEN program at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and a consultant to the World Health Organization, Access to Nutrition Initiative, and PATH. She also serves on the Parents Expert Review Board for Parents.com.

Emily earned her Doctor of Public Health degree with a Nutrition and Global Health Concentration at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health (2021), her Master of Science in Dietetics at Kansas State University (2012), and her Bachelor of Science in Culinary Arts Nutrition at Johnson & Wales University (2002). She loves food and cooking and is passionate about food and nutrition as human rights.
