Overview
Derek R. Soled, MD, MBA, MSc is a resident physician in the Harvard Combined Internal Medicine-Pediatrics Program at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston Children’s Hospital, and Boston Medical Center. He is the recipient of numerous awards for his research and service, including the Henry K. Beecher and Richard C. Cabot Prizes in the medical humanities at Harvard and the US Public Health Service’s Excellence in Public Health Award. Dr. Soled has authored nearly 100 peer-reviewed articles, abstracts, or chapters on clinical medicine, care delivery, and ethics in journals such as the Journal of Medical Ethics, the American Journal of Bioethics, the Journal of Law, Medicine, and Ethics, and Academic Medicine. He received his MD magna cum laude from Harvard Medical School, his MBA with High Distinction from Harvard Business School as a Baker Scholar, his MSc from the University of Oxford as a Walter Byers Scholar, and his BA summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Yale University.
