Overview
Dr. Frank Qian is a Resident Physician in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Clinical Fellow in Medicine at Harvard Medical School. His clinical interests include the prevention and management of cardiometabolic disorders with a focus on type 2 diabetes, coronary artery disease, stroke, atrial fibrillation, heart failure, and venous thromboembolisms, particularly in patients with unique high-risk features (e.g. cancer survivors, history of pregnancy complications, chronic inflammatory conditions). His research has focused on identifying lifestyle and genetic determinants as well as prevention strategies for chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and breast and ovarian cancer in diverse populations by conducting analysis of large-scale epidemiologic studies and randomized controlled trials including the African Breast Cancer Study, Nurses’ Health Study, Health Professionals Follow-up Study, Multi-Ethnic Study of Atherosclerosis, UK Biobank, and the Vitamin D and Omega-3 Trial as well as international consortia such as the Consortium of Investigators of Modifiers of BRCA1/2 and the Fatty Acids and Outcomes Research Consortium. He is also actively involved in evidence synthesis through conducting systematic reviews and meta-analysis on chronic disease prevention and management.

PMC Citations indicate the number of times the publication was cited by articles in PubMed Central, and the Altmetric score represents citations in news articles and social media. (Note that publications are often cited in additional ways that are not shown here.) Fields are based on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classifies the publication's journal and might not represent the specific topic of the publication. Translation tags are based on the publication type and the MeSH terms NLM assigns to the publication. Some publications (especially newer ones and publications not in PubMed) might not yet be assigned Field or Translation tags.) Click a Field or Translation tag to filter the publications.
