Our group conducts translational clinical research aimed to identify novel biomarkers of the epileptogenic zone in the brain of children with epilepsy, which can help planning epilepsy brain surgery and improving outcomes. The student's role in the project will be to: - review patients' clinical records to extract clinical information relevant to the study, identify eligible patients to include in the study and enter them into our database for statistical analysis - pre-process EEG and MRI data via pre-defined data analysis pipelines using user-friendly tool for neuroimaging data analysis - extract quantitative measures from the EEG and test their link with the underlying epileptogenicity of the brain. The student will be trained and supervised daily by the primary mentor, her postdoctoral fellow and clinical collaborators from the BCH Epilepsy Clinics
