The current study enrolls patients with unexplained seizures after the age of 55. The protocol includes cognitive testing, EEG, neuroimaging, and biomarkers. opportunities are available to perform data analysis on predictors of cognitive decline, the association between sleep and cognition, evaluating the association between mood and cognition in epilepsy.

    Role Description: This study will enroll patients with unexplained, late-onset seizures and compare their brain imaging, genetic tests, brain-wave testing and cognitive performance to healthy controls of the same age from the Harvard Aging Brain Study to identify causes and consequences of seizures in the elderly.
