Overview
Dr. Schrock specializes in providing evidence-based treatment in a flexible, personalized manner. Specifically, he focuses on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mentalization-based approaches for adults experiencing mood, anxiety, and personality disorders.
Dr. Schrock earned his MA and PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Louisville where he was trained in CBT interventions for anxiety and depression. He completed his predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowships at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School where he received extensive DBT and ACT training. Dr. Schrock has completed the basic and advanced trainings in mentalization-base treatment (MBT) for Borderline Personality Disorder. He has also completed the training in multi-family therapy through the Anna Freud Center in London. Dr. Schrock is a clinical psychologist with faculty/staff appointments at McLean Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He serves as the Co-Director of Psychology Training for the APA accredited McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School Doctoral Internship in Clinical Psychology. Dr. Schrock is a senior staff psychologist at the Behavioral Health Partial Hospital Program at McLean Hospital.
