 Mentoring
 current student opportunities
Available: 12/01/03, Expires: 11/30/20

Post-operative pain, which most often is felt at the site of the incision, is a source of delayed recovery and increased surgical stress. We seek new drugs to provide prolonged post-operative pain relief through local and/or systemic actions. The student will be involved in neurobehavioral, anatomical or physiological studies of the actions of potential drugs to treat this condition, using an animal (rat) model newly developed in our laboratory.
