BIDMC is pursuing a number of initiatives in the critical care arena to improve patient safety. The focus of these initiatives focus on some combination of improving decisionmaking through more sophisticated presentation of information, reengineering of care delivery, and/or imrpving level of engagement of patients and families. Project work will likely focus on data collection through record review, direct observation, or survey administration, and/or direct involvement in phases of care delivery redesign.
