 Mentoring
 current student opportunities
Available: 09/03/12, Expires: 07/01/13

Student will be working under the direct supervision of research fellow to study the role of plasma microRNAs in protecting the heart against stressors. Model systems used would include cell culture of primary cardiomyocytes, mice models of heart failure and plasma for heart failure or control patients. Specific student role would include doing QRT-PCR for microRNAs, assessing role of microRNA in cardiac cell hypertrophy and cell biology, and biochemistry in the mice models.
