Mentoring Available: 07/01/12, Expires: 06/30/13 Our laboratory uses molecular, biochemical, and genetic approaches to study signaling cascades that are activated inappropriately in tumors. We are interested in understanding how the activation of transcription factors such as STATs leads to programs of gene expression resulting in malignancy, and using this knowledge for the development of novel anti-neoplastic strategies. A motivated and collegial student is welcome to collaborate in this research, which we hope will ultimately lead to new targeted therapies for cancer.
