This project uses social network analytics to assess social networks in US city and develop optimized approaches to a comprehensive wellness program. The technology builds on work done by Prof. Nicholas Christakis and colleagues at Harvard, the leading group in social network approaches in health. The current project involves analyzing a variety of data sets to develop network connections among residents, working with statisticians to map and analyze networks, and working with the city to develop an optimized plan for health promotion. The student should be comfortable with college-level statistics, but advanced statistics is not required. Some of the work will be completed at our office, and the balance can be completed virtually.
