My research interests are focused on two major directions.
One research direction is Integrative Cancer Genomics, where I am working on extracting and creating knowledge from multiple genomic data platforms to explore the global mechanisms of cancer initiation, progression and metastasis, with a particular emphasis on discovering driver genetic events and combinatorial biomarkers for improving risk profiling, therapy specificity and treatment efficacy.
The second research direction is Cancer Immunology, where I am working on deciphering the mechanisms associated with T cell dysfunction and immune signatures in cancer.
I have a long standing affiliation as Associate Researcher (computational biologist) with the
Computational Biology and Bioinformatics Program lead by Dr. Jill Mesirov and with Dr. Pablo Tamayo at the Broad Institute (http://www.broadinstitute.org/),
and with the Laboratories of
Dr. Nicholas Haining (http://haining.dfci.harvard.edu/lab-members/) and
Dr. Kimberly Stegmaier (http://www.dfhcc.harvard.edu/membership/profile/member/1143/0/)
at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
I also serve as Adjunct Associate Professor in the Graduate Program in Bioinformatics at Boston University (http://www.bu.edu/bioinformatics/) and as Adjunct Faculty in the Graduate Program at the BioMaPS Institute for Quantitative Biology (http://biomaps.rutgers.edu/page2.html).
